Coldwell Banker entered the Greater Cincinnati market in 1981, with the acquisition of Parchman & Oyler as part of a program of expansion. Two months later, Coldwell Banker became a member of the Sears Financial Network, a relationship that would last until Sears sold Coldwell Banker to the Fremont Group in 1993. By 1996, there were 13 Coldwell Banker offices in the tristate area. In October 1997, NRT acquired West Shell, strengthening the company's presence and leadership in the Greater Cincinnati area, making it the premier real estate company in the tristate.
