In August 2003, NRT acquired and merged Coldwell Banker Sammis and National Homefinders, two of Long Island’s oldest and fastest-growing regionally-owned and operated brokerages. The Sammis company heritage dates back to 1849 when O.S. Sammis started his family real estate and insurance business in Huntington, New York. Prior to the merger, each organization was generating nearly $1 billion in sales volume.
NRT also acquired East-Brook Realty in April 2004, bringing it into the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage family, as our East Hills Office, serving the exclusive Roslyn and Old Westbury communities specializing in the high-end real estate market.
