Jeff Culbertson

Jeff Culbertson is regional senior vice president for the Southwest and Sacramento Region of NRT's company-owned Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices. In this role, he has responsibility for more than 139 offices and 9,700 sales associates in Arizona, Sacramento/Tahoe, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.
A 30-year veteran of the real estate industry, Culbertson began his career as a real estate salesperson in San Jose, Calif., and quickly moved up the ranks first at a small family-owned company, and then within Coldwell Banker's parent companies. Culbertson received his real estate license when he was just 19 and experienced immediate success in the sales arena, becoming the top-producing agent in his office within six months, and becoming co-owner of Contempo Realty during the mid-1980s. Culbertson and his wife, Jenifer, recruited 50 agents to the office in the first year. Utilizing on-going training programs, career guidance and a genuine concern for the success of his people. In 1997, the partnership sold the 18 office company to NRT. After the sale, Culbertson, a fourth-generation Sacramento area native, served as president of Century 21 Contempo Realty for one year before he decided to move back to the Sacramento area to be closer to his family.
Prior to rejoining the NRT family, Culbertson spent two years as senior vice president for Cendant Corporation. In this capacity, he was responsible for franchise growth for Cendant's three real estate brands - Coldwell Banker, ERA and Century 21 - in 19 Western states. During his tenure, Cendant's Western region increased sales in excess of 200 percent.
Although Culbertson's achieved a successful record quickly at Cendant, he jumped at the chance to return to brokerage operations in September 2001 when NRT created new companies in Northern California to better serve the greater Sacramento, Lake Tahoe and Silicon Valley marketplaces with local leadership. Under Culbertson's leadership and guidance, Coldwell Banker was able to capitalize on the area's phenomenal growth in the local market and expand the agent base by nearly 50 percent.
In September 2005, Culbertson was senior vice president of NRT's Southwest Region and also held the dual role as president of NRT's Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Sacramento/Tahoe, Calif. Prior to that, he was chief operating officer for NRT's Western Region in addition serving as the Sacramento president. He also previously held the role of president for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Silicon Valley, Calif.
In December 2005, Culbertson's role was expanded to cover the Southern California region after being appointed senior vice president in September 2005. Just prior, Culbertson held the dual role as president of NRT's Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Sacramento/Tahoe, Calif. and chief operating officer for NRT's Western Region in addition to the Sacramento president role, which he has occupied since May 2004. He also previously held the role of president for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Silicon Valley, Calif.
