Dean Cottrill oversees the operations of 40 sales and resort rental locations, and more than 2,100 sales associates throughout Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. He also oversees the resort rental and property management divisions, and Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT.
Cottrill has been a successful and established member of Washington and Baltimore's real estate community since 1990, when he began his career as a sales associate. He was a top-producing agent for seven years before becoming an office manager in 1997. In that capacity, he led his office team to achieve multiple sales and customer service awards.
He joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Greater Baltimore in 2007 as a regional vice president. He currently serves as a member of the MRIS board of directors and the Maryland Association of Realtors® board of directors. He is the former president of the Anne Arundel Board of Realtors® and served on the National Association of Realtors® board of directors. He was honored as Realtor® of the Year by the Anne Arundel Association of Realtors® in 2006.
Cottrill earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, is a Certified Residential Specialist and holds the Graduate, Realtor® Institute designation. He is a strong supporter of the annual healthy food drive in conjunction with United Way of Central Maryland as part of their Families Living United campaign to increase awareness for the needs of the hungry in our communities. He has been involved personally in volunteer efforts to provide support to local soup kitchens and shelters. He is also an active member of the Executive Leadership Team for the Central Maryland American Heart Association and the Heart & Vascular Philanthropy Council of Anne Arundel Medical Center.
