Rick Hoffman is a 30-year real estate veteran and president and COO for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in San Diego. Hoffman entered the real estate business in 1976 with a small brokerage in Scripps Ranch and within three years started ERA The Property Store, which was one of the 10 largest ERA companies in the world by 1997 when it merged with Coldwell Banker Associates Realty. In 2004, Hoffman was named Broker of the Year for the San Diego Association of Realtors.

Hoffman was president of Coldwell Banker Associates Realty when it was acquired by NRT in 2005. In 2006, he was promoted to president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, overseeing nearly 1,400 sales associates in 31 offices in the San Diego and Inland Empire market areas. In 2005, the company accounted for more than $5.7 billion in closed sales volume.
Hoffman has held posts as president of the San Diego Association of Realtors, regional chairman to the California Association of Realtors, was elected to the Board of Directors of R.E.B.S., the for-profit side of the California Association of Realtors, and in 2005 served as chairman of the Board of R.E.B.S. Hoffman has developed numerous commercial and multi-family developments in San Diego County , consulted on a national basis for large real estate corporations, served as a featured speaker at numerous national conventions, and conducted numerous consumer market studies in the United States , Australia and Europe. He is a graduate of San Diego State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.
