Joe Reis
Senior Vice President, Central Region

As senior vice president of NRT, Joe Reis is responsible for the company's Central Region. Based in Edina, Minn., Reis oversees NRT's local operating companies in Minnesota/Western Wisconsin, Chicago/Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Columbus, and St. Louis, as well as offices within areas of Indiana and Michigan. In addition, he focuses on growth opportunities for NRT in other Midwestern markets.
Since April 2000, Reis has also served as CEO of Coldwell Banker Burnet Home Services (CBBHS) following two years as the company's president. CBBHS is comprised of 38 offices and nearly 3,000 sales associates operating throughout the Twin Cities, Rochester and St. Cloud, Minn., as well as western Wisconsin. In 2004, CBBHS posted over $8 billion in closed sales volume. Additionally, CBBHS operates Burnet Title, Burnet Relocation, and provides financing for its customers and others through an affiliate, Burnet Home loans.
From 1990 to 1997, Reis was executive vice president of Burnet Financial Group, where he also served as a member of the executive committee. His focus was on growth of the company both through real estate acquisitions (most notably the 1996 acquisition of Prudential Preferred Properties of Chicago) and through expansion of real estate services (creating Burnet Home Loans in 1990 and Burnet Insurance in 1996).
Before joining the Burnet organization, Reis held various financial and operational positions with Merrill Lynch Realty from 1982 to 1990.
Reis is a board member of the Minnesota Association of Realtors (MAR) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR), where he also serves as a large broker representative. He is also a board member and chair of the International Child Welfare Committee for Children's Home Society and Family Services, a Minnesota-based organization that assists families and children through adoption services, humanitarian aid to various countries, child care services, crisis nurseries, and child abuse and neglect prevention. He volunteers his time for Hammer Residences, Inc. and is an active member of Holy Name Church in Medina.
Reis graduated cum laude with a B.S. in business administration from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT. He lives in Medina, MN with his wife Kathy, and their three daughters Jessica, who attends Georgetown University; Michelle, who attends the College of the Holy Cross; and Gina, an Orono High School student.
