Judy Reeves of NRT LLC Appointed to NAR Advisory Board
Executive of Parsippany-based Real Estate Company Tapped for National Post

Judy Reeves, chief operating officer and executive vice president for NRT LLC, the nation's largest residential real estate brokerage company, was appointed to the National Association of Realtor's Large Brokers Real Estate Services Advisory Board earlier this spring.
The 25-member board was created in April of this year to oversee Real Estate Services Initiative, designed to aid brokers in implementing and maximizing core services such as mortgage, title and home warranty.The board's members include the largest and most diversified real estate services firms in the country.
"Judy Reeves' long association with NAR has encompassed a number of key leadership positions, including her service as a member of NAR's Board of Directors, and we are delighted that she will continue to offer her perspective and guidance on this important initiative," said NAR President Pat V. Combs, of Grand Rapids, Mich., and vice president of Coldwell Banker-AJS-Schmidt.
Reeves also serves on the association's Executive Committee. As one of 48 members of the committee, Reeves is responsible for reviewing and recommending to the NAR Board of Directors new policies as well as changes in policy. In addition, the Executive Committee ensures that the affairs of the association are conducted in accordance with its policies. She is currently serving a two-year term, which concludes in 2009.
Judy Reeves has established a longstanding reputation as a successful leader in the real estate industry. As executive vice president and chief operating officer for NRT LLC, she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of NRT's local operating companies and its nearly 1,000 offices throughout the United States.
Prior to this role, Reeves most recently served as executive vice president and chief administrative officer at NRT, where she was responsible for leading the company's national efforts in mortgage, settlement services, relocation, acquisition rollouts, preferred alliances, diversity and corporate relationships.
Reeves began her real estate career as a salesperson for Schweppe & Co., now Schweppe-Burgdorff ERA, in Montclair, N.J., in 1982 and rose to become a top-producing salesperson in the Montclair area. Reeves was named president and chief operating officer for Burgdorff in 1996, when it was acquired by NRT.
In 2004, she was cited by NJ Biz as one of the 25 most influential women in New Jersey business. She has been named one of National Relocation and Real Estate magazine's "500 Most Powerful Women in Real Estate."
A resident of Montclair, she and her husband John have three grown children and one grandchild.
