Bob Leighton Named President and COO of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA in Harrisburg, Pa.
HARRISBURG, Pa. - October 27, 2006
NRT, the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerage company, today announced Bob Leighton, general sales manager at Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA in Harrisburg, has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of the 15-office company with 500 sales associates serving central and south central Pennsylvania. Leighton has 27 years of real estate experience, during which he owned a real estate firm for 14 years, and previously held senior roles for other companies within Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA’s parent company, NRT Incorporated.
"Bob’s extensive experience and personal talents will be important in the growth of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA, which continues to be one of the region’s leading residential real estate brokerage firms," said Judy Reeves, executive vice president and chief operating officer for NRT.
Leighton replaces Jim Grandon who is leaving the company after nearly 25 years serving as the company’s president and chief operating officer, the last seven of those years with NRT since the company acquired Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA from owner Jim Grandon in 1999. "We thank Jim for his outstanding work leading the company in serving the real estate needs of our communities, and we wish him all the best," Reeves added.
Under Grandon’s leadership, the company more than doubled in size and strengthened its market presence in the greater Harrisburg region. The company is known as a leader in providing full real estate services including financing, title, settlement, warranties and relocation.
Leighton most recently served as general sales manager at Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA. Previously, he held the post of regional vice president for NRT’s Central New England company. Leighton, who received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Connecticut, resides currently in Carlisle, Pa.
