Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Acquires Trylon Realty on Long Island’s North Shore
Company Acquires Leading Independent Real Estate Office in Nassau County
Huntington, N.Y. Dec. 14, 2004
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, a prominent full-service residential real estate brokerage firm on Long Island, announced today that it has acquired the assets of Trylon Realty of Great Neck, Inc., located on the North Shore of Long Island. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s announcement follows on the heels of the company’s acquisition of First Choice Real Estate in Fresh Meadows, N.Y., last month. The Trylon Realty office will now operate as Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
Earlier this year, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage also acquired the assets of Marie Grant Realty in Smithtown, N.Y., and East-Brook Realty in East Hills, N.Y.
Hildy Sanders and Sandy Rosen, co-owners of Trylon Realty, will hold senior sales positions within the newly combined organization. Joe Sanders will assume the role of manager of the combined companies’ Great Neck office.
“With Great Neck situated only 20 miles outside of Manhattan, the area has been magnetic in attracting commuters for decades,” said Kate Rossi, president and chief operating officer for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s operations on Long Island and in Queens, N.Y. “The in-depth knowledge that Trylon Realty’s agents possess about these communities combined with our extensive reach into outlying areas strengthens our abilities to better serve the North Shore’s home buyers and sellers.”
Trylon Realty’s 68 sales associates in its Great Neck-based office accounted for approximately $250 million in closed sales volume during the last 12 months. With this announcement, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage now includes 27 offices and nearly 1,200 sales associates on Long Island and in Queens, accounting for nearly $3.2 billion in closed sales volume in the last 12 months.
“We are very pleased to become part of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage team because we’ve seen it become the fastest-growing real estate company on Long Island,” said Sanders. Rosen stated, “This announcement instantly enables us to expand our operation into other parts of Long Island, and our clients will be better served by more marketing support, a leading national relocation service, international visibility and the latest cutting-edge technology in use by our agents.”
Sanders and Rosen, who are sisters, have been top real estate sales professionals in Great Neck for the past 38 years. They purchased Trylon Realty in 1987. With their vision and capable sales staff, Trylon Realty has grown to become the No. 1 independently owned office in sales volume across Nassau County in 2003 and 2004, according to multiple listing service statistics.
