Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Acquires Sunfirst Realty Associates in Rancho Mirage
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – December 6, 2005
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Greater Los Angeles today announced the acquisition of Big Bear Real Estate, Inc., doing business as SunFirst Realty Associates in Rancho Mirage, Calif. The company’s office, located at 69930 Highway 111 in Rancho Mirage, will now operate as Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
“This acquisition further strengthens our presence in one of the most active segments in California's housing market, the Coachella Valley, and more specifically, the growing communities of Rancho Mirage, Palm Springs and Palm Desert,” said Betty Graham, president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Greater Los Angeles. “SunFirst Realty is a respected community business with a long tradition of integrity and service. We welcome the opportunity to work with their seasoned real estate professionals and look forward to this office complementing our Desert Region locations.”
Founded in 1995 by Bob Slagle and Debby Williams, SunFirst Realty has 20 sales associates and accounted for $64 million in total closed sales volume during the last 12 months. Slagle and Williams will remain with the office as sales associates. Malcolm MacEwen, senior vice president of desert operations for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, will assume responsibility for managing the Rancho Mirage office.
